JOYRIDE (n):
A ride taken for pleasure.
Conduct or action in disregard of cost or consequences.
In July of 2022 I was invited on a cruise, an experience that sparked my interest in how we seek pleasure and enjoy the splendors life in a post-pandemic, post-industrial, post-climate change world. This work is a furtive view of enjoyment, but also a search for the beauty that is wedged between these two dichotomies of pleasure and destruction.
